FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
NASSAU
We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated Financial Controller with retail experience to join our Executive Team. You will be responsible for overseeing organizational finances, providing accurate and timely financial reporting, projections, and accounts oversight. Additionally, you will be involved in cost evaluation, growth planning, insurance and investment review, and risk management. Strong leadership,analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with key department heads are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills to motivate teams, drive excellent performance, and supervise employees performing financial reporting, accounting, billing, payroll, and budgeting duties.
- Develop and implement internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.
- Understands working capital management (inventory investment ROI) and can analyze financial operations for improvement opportunities.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, statements and forecasts. Conduct analysis and provide insights and reccomendations to senior management.
- Coordinate and conduct audits to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and accounting professionals to facilitate financial activities.
- Authorize disbursements and maintain accurate records.
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts and investment transactions.
- Resolve Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable issues as the primary point of contact.
Requirements:
- Degree in accounting or finance, CPA/CMA preferred, and at least 3 years of experience as a Financial Controller or similar position.
- A detail-oriented, critical thinker with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects with competing priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, and able to work with legacy software, with aprogressive mindset toward technological improvements
